Allen Organ Employee Celebrates
60th Anniversary with Company!

On June 8, 2017, Allen Organ celebrated Sandra Fischl's 60th Anniversary of employment with the Company. Congratulations to Sandy on this unique achievement and special thanks for her decades of dedication and loyalty!

Long-term relationships seem to be a thing of the past at some companies. But, they are at the core of Allen Organ Company's DNA, as exemplified by a long list of Allen employees and customers who have been a part of the "family" for nearly as long as Sandra Fischl.

Congratulations to Riverchase United Methodist Church of Birmingham, Alabama, for being the Grand Prize Winner of Allen Organs Inspiring Congregations video contest!

Organ: Custom Bravura L-463
Song: "Hallelujah" (from Christ on the Mount of Olives)
Composer: Ludwig van Beethoven

Describe how your Allen organ has inspired your congregation:

"After a lightning strike caused terminal damage to our 25-year-old organ, we sought to find a replacement Allen organ that would be fitting of the caliber of our amazing organist and music ministry. This video shows them in action on their very first Sunday together." - Scott Phillips, RUMC Director of Technology

INSTALLATION - The Holy Apostles Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Warsaw, Poland
Years ago, The Holy Apostles Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church had a traditional pipe organ installed. Unfortunately the organ was assembled from used parts recovered from other older organs. This configuration resulted in poor sound quality of the organ and continual problems for more than twelve years!

Finally, thanks to positive recommendations regarding Allen Organ and their products, the parish decided to purchase and install a high-end digital instrument manufactured by Allen. Delivery of new organ became a good opportunity to make renovation of entire existing organ prospect. Now the final effect can be admired by the attendees of worship services and the audience during our concerts!

INSTALLATION - First Presbyterian Church, Fairbanks, Alaska
First Presbyterian Church of Fairbanks recently retired their 45-year old vintage Allen organ and replaced it with a new two-manual Allen L-239 DK Bravura™ equipped with draw knobs and antiphonal speakers.

The organ was donated by Newsminer publisher emeritus Charles Gray and features a plaque inscribed with the words, "In memory of Margaret Gray, 1930 - 2016, Ambassador of Christ's Love."

The Allen Bravura™ organ features six complete stop lists: Classic Allen, Cavaillé-Coll, Schlicker, English (mainly Willis), Arp Schnitger, and Aeolian Skinner. At the push of a button, the organist can choose between these historic organ types or collective sounds based on the repertoire to be performed. "Classic Allen" represents Allen Organ Company's signature configuration. This eclectic specification was created by Allen's tonal directors by selecting their favorite samples from pipe organs around the world.

The result is simply amazing! Finished in satin walnut, the organ was custom-made and manufactured at the Allen factory in Macungie, Pennsylvania over a period of three months and shipped by air to Fairbanks, arriving at the church early in May.

Organist Russ Vanderlugt with (L-R) Allen Organ Representatives Ron Pearson & Kent Brocklebank, Building Manager Dave Henry, Pastor Andrew Ekblad, and church organ donor Charles Gray.

Custom features on the organ include: four antiphonal speakers, auxiliary bass speaker, adjustable bench, Bluetooth page turner that digitally advances pages on a tablet controlled by piston buttons or toe studs, a headphone kit, Optical Sensor Technology ("OST™" or touch sensitivity on keyboard manuals) with sustain switch, and the Allen Vista Navigator™ with remote control.

Come sit in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian and listen. You won't believe your ears!
