Elite™ Organ Opus III Tonal Philosophy
Allen Elite™ Opus III was designed to meet the musical needs of the very active and varied music program of First United Methodist Church, E. Stroudsburg. Of first importance the instrument will support congregational singing and choir accompaniment providing firm foundational tone with distinct articulation and upper work that clearly sounds the melody. The stops of Opus III were chose for their specific qualities distinct on their own as well as their ability to develop cohesive division ensembles.
Further, each division having its own character and purpose is designed to be complimentary to the others contributing its unique qualities when combined. The instrument can supply tones that range from the meditative Flute and String Celestes of the Echo division, to the joyful sound of the Festival Trumpet for those special occasions of celebration.
The instrument speaks with a thirty-eight channel audio system that assures effortless sound with superior clarity and presence. It will also accept audio input sources such as electronic praise band instruments. Opus III has been designed to support the worship experience enabling musicians to convey their inspiration in traditional and contemporary ways and serve as a concert instrument having a specification that allows the presentation of a wide range of organ literature.
About the Designer - Randy Miller
The organ has been a part of Randy Miller's entire life. Randy's formal studies include a degree in church music and performance. He has served as organist for churches in Ohio, Florida and Pennsylvania. Randy's work experiences include pipe and digital organ building. Randy joined the Allen Organ Company in 1995. He brings his vast experience in organ building to designing Elite Organs.
About the Designer - Aram Basmadjian
Aram Basmadjian is one of the most accomplished young organ virtuosos in America. He provides diverse programs that have won acclaim from audiences and critics alike for being musically appropriate for all audiences. Aram has several recordings on Allen instruments, and continues his career as a touring concert artist, having spent six years with Community Concerts with performances in over 50 cities throughout the United States each year. These programs utilized Aram's own Allen four-manual touring organ.
