In the summer of 2007 lightning struck Emmanuel UCC and started a disastrous fire. Most of the church was destroyed along with the church's vintage Möller pipe organ. It was decided to replace the pipe organ with a new state-of-the-art Allen 79 Stop, four-manual instrument. After numerous delays in construction, the new organ and newly rebuilt church were dedicated on December 10, 2009. In a capacity filled sanctuary a combined ecumenical choir performed an original composition written by Jim Phillips, the church's talented Director of Music. Mr. Phillips, a professional studio musician for many years, has extensive knowledge of MIDI and uses Allen Vista™ and Allen's Stoplist Library™ Orchestral specification routinely in church services and when performing his original works. The organ installation includes an Ancillary Division controlled by the console, a Swell and Solo Antiphonal Division, and Allen's EAC™ (Expanded Audio Capabilities).
