Noosa Uniting Worship and Community Centre's organ committee, headed by chief organist Bruce Walker, researched many organs when considering a new organ for their Worship Centre. After much study, three organs were selected to be demonstrated live for the congregation-at the same time and on the same day!
Prior to demonstrations by representatives of each organ company, the congregation had the opportunity to hear Mr. Walker play each instrument in their morning service led by the Reverend John Broughton. Their overwhelming choice was an Allen two-manual, an MDS Expander™ and a Smart Recorder™. It integrates so well with Noosa Uniting's award winning edifice (first place in the Queensland Master Builders' Association Regional Award in the category of Community Services Constructions) that it transformed Noosa's Carol Night into an unprecedented success, overflowing with people and enthusiastic comments about the organ's performance. The compliments included those of the the organist from the nearby Anglican Church.
