The Academy's Memorial Chapel witnessed a very favorable debut of their three-manual Allen organ. Its first official performance demonstrated not only its exciting pipe-like tonal abilities, but also its expansive musical range. Dr. Robert G. Newton, Organist, stated that the Allen replaced an aging pipe organ which was installed when the chapel was built in the 1950s. He also added that the Allen console is inviting to play-he particularly enjoys the the pleasure of the instrument's reliability. The Memorial Chapel, located on the Academy campus, is open to the public every day from sunrise to sunset, and invites anyone to visit.
