ALLEN ORGAN INSTALLATIONS

St. Luke's Lutheran Church of Colorado Springs, Colorado has always valued a significant and diverse Music Ministry program. As a vibrant North American Lutheran Church, they pride themselves on being a "Christ Centered, Liturgically Rich, and Fellowship Focused" community. For years they continually repaired and upgraded an inadequate digital organ built by another vendor.

Following a thorough due diligence, the organ committee and administration determined that the church should invest in a new Allen: a 50th Anniversary Edition, 42 Stop, GENISYS GX-335iDK with Allen's new APEX tone generation technology. The console exterior is finished in a vibrant oak finish, offset with a rich dark walnut interior.

Additionally, the church selected numerous custom options for the console: a matching-finish Dolly platform to move console for various musical presentations, headphone jack, Red Tutti Thumb Pistons, Zimbelstern, lower mounting expression pedal name plates, MIDI interface, GENISYS Voices (2 extra programmable stops per division, which brings the total Stop count to 50), Allen adjustable keyboards, Drawknobs, and custom engravings with Reeds engraved in red. The organ comes equipped with multiple suites, including Theatre organ suites, making this organ suitable for classical or Theatre organ concerts within the church.

The church's high ceiling in the front (altar area), and low ceiling in the rear (console and choir area) presented acoustic challenges that were successfully overcome with Allen speakers. The console speakers are augmented with 4 matching-finish Allen HR-50 speakers along the back wall to project a full dynamic presence from the choir area, while Allen HR-200 speakers fill the entire worship space from within the speaker chambers in the altar area.

The church is thrilled with the sound and qualities of their new GX-335iDK Allen Organ, installed Holy Week 2022! It offered a Triduum and Eastertide like none other!
