Roger Nyquist brings a wealth of experience and artistic ability to the Allen Artist Program. Dr. Nyquist studied with Arthur Poister, Catharine Crozier and André Marchal. He has been on the faculty of Southwestern College, the University of California at Santa Barbara, and was the Chairman of the Music Department at Santa Clara. A much sought-after performer and workshop coordinator, Dr. Nyquist, a resident of Sacramento, California, now devotes full time to his concert career, private teaching, and recording. His concert career is active throughout the United States and Europe. He has recorded extensively-more than 24 albums (over 180 compositions) to his credit.
