"My first trip to New York City in the early 1990s was a revelation. I immediately realized that it was where I belonged. The last five years have been a whirlwind of studies at Juilliard with Gerre Hancock, John Weaver, and Paul Jacobs; of making a life in Manhattan; and of constant concertizing throughout the USA. What I have learned is that while classical musicians of the 21st century face grave challenges, this is also a time when new voices have never been more welcomed. It is in that spirit that I've made this recording."
