of the Month

Dear e-notes readers:

Some of you have told us that you noticed it's been longer than usual since the last e-notes hit your inbox. We apologize for the delay but hope you’ll find the wait was worthwhile.

If you are an anglophile, you’ll love the story in this issue about the recent Allen installation at the Royal Military Academy of Sandhurst, in Surrey, England. And, keeping with an international theme, we’ve also got a story about a young prodigy from Australia and a free recording made by our Paris representative while visiting an Allen installation in Spain.

We hope you enjoy all of these pleasant reminders that here in Macungie, PA, we build organs for the entire world!

Quantum™ 80 Stop/Three-Manual

Allen Organ Company is pleased to announce that the Royal Military Academy,Sandhurst, England is the new home of a large Allen organ. Installed in the Royal Memorial Chapel, this 4-manual instrument was specially designed to meet the demanding musical needs of the Chapel. The diverse specification includes a unique Antiphonal String division.

The organ is the culmination of a lengthy design and manufacturing process. The design
team included Allen’s Tonal Director, Randy Miller, Paul Arkwright of Allen Organs
UK, and the Memorial Chapel’s Director of Music Peter Beaven. Initial responses to the
instrument have been fantastic. The organ was featured in A Gala Concert performed
by Carlo Curley on June 19, 2011.

The Allen Organ Company is honored to have been chosen to build the instrument for this world-renowned Chapel.
