Dear Allen Owners and Enthusiasts:

We asked, readers responded! Over the last few months, we've invited owners of vintage Allen organs to share their ownership stories with us. The accounts we've received have been amazing! Each month we'll share one of these "longevity" stories. If you've got one of your own, be sure to let us know!

The Third-Time is the "Charm" for this vintage Allen's new owner

An Allen ADC 4100 instrument that has been in service for almost three decades still looks new in its present surrounding. When its original Methodist church owner upgraded to a newer Allen, the instrument was moved to a Catholic church where it accompanied worship for many years. It now graces the sanctuary of The First United Church, Presbyterian, of Hoosick Falls, New York, and is the third Allen owned by that church.
The installation includes four main speakers in the chancel, a full antiphonal, an added bass channel, and a bass coupler. John Button, First United's organist since 1976, also uses a keyboard which plays through an Allen MIDI translator on the organ. The ADC 4100 fills the space with a beautiful and warm rich sound. The church is thrilled with the instrument and doesn't plan to give it up any time soon!

Classic Console Installation of the Month

St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church
Markham, Ontario, Canada

In September 2009, the pastor and various committees at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Markham, Ontario decided that the organ used in celebrating God's presence was not adequate in its limited capabilities and sporadic service. They decided upon an Allen organ and in April 2010, a beautiful Heritage™ Edition H-II45D was installed. It is a 45 stop, two-manual digital performance instrument with 20 audio channels.

Newton, New Jersey
Lyn Larsen Signature Series™ LL-324Q-SP

Frederick Muller, son of late Bristol Glen resident Helen K. Muller, recently donated a three-manual Allen LL-324Q-SP theatre organ to the retirement community in her memory. The dedication ceremony was attended by many residents and staff members in the James C. Batten Town Hall. The organ was played by John V. Baratta, Director of Music for Grace Evangelical Church in River Edge, New Jersey, and house organist for the historic Newton Theatre, where Frederick Muller also plays weekly pre-movie concerts.
