Harrisburg Baptist Church, Tupelo, Mississippi:
Rufatti/Allen Combination Pipe and Renaissance™ Digital Instrument

An inspiring Service of Organ Dedication at Harrisburg Baptist celebrated the installation of the new Pat Coley Memorial Organ, a pipe and digital combination instrument controlled by an Allen Renaissance™ four-manual console. Dr. Forrest Sheffield, Pastor, and Minister of Music Aaron Tomes organized a truly comprehensive and glorious service, with the congregation and special guests enjoying the virtuoso talents of guest organist Kenneth D. Varner. Mr. Varner's selections encompassed traditional hymns, classical compositions, and personal arrangements, all combining to demonstrate the extraordinary versatility of the grand instrument.

The Organ Committee of Harrisburg Baptist along with Allen and the Rive Pipe Organ Company of Metairie, Louisiana, worked together diligently to plan and produce this outstanding worship service and concert-capable instrument. The 2,378 Rufatti pipes from the original organ are now complemented by seventy digitally sampled stops. Harrisburg Baptist is overjoyed that their music ministry will be enhanced by this impressive organ—their choirs, vocalists, and instrumentalists will have the ability to create a more dynamic worship environment for the congregation, who will of course raising their voices to new levels of musical devotion.
