Schlicker/Allen Combination Pipe and Renaissance™ Digital Instrument
The University Lutheran Church of Clemson, South Carolina, desired additional voices to augment their two-manual 6-rank Unit Schlicker Pipe Organ. After an in-church demonstration by Bob White and Carolyn Hamlin of Case Brothers, Spartanburg, South Carolina, it was decided to incorporate Allen digital voices with the pipe organ. An Allen two-manual console and pipe interface were provided. The musical end results are spectacular. The organ dedication featured the late organist Tom Hazleton playing to a capacity congregation. This organ is used not only for expanded worship services, but also for musical functions involving Clemson University.
